    Bio

I am a Bay Area native and graduated from Clayton Valley High School in 1994. As a teenager, I attended DVC until I transferred to CSU Chico to obtain my Music Education B.A. in 2000. I received my teaching credential from CSU Hayward (East Bay) and also received my Master’s of Arts in Teacher Leadership from St. Mary’s College. I was in the DVC Symphonic Band for 11 years playing flute and piccolo and now play with the Walnut Creek Concert Band. I am currently the President for the Walnut Creek Concert Band non-profit board and Area II representative for California Music Educators Association, Bay Section. From August thru November I am also the Marching Band and Auxiliary Director for Northgate High School. I am an avid musician and love to play the piccolo but truly wish I could play the tuba or the cello. At PHMS I have three Concert bands, Jazz band, and two orchestras. My husband and I are the proud minions of our cat, Bandita. I am the oldest child with a sister and brother that live nearby. I am excited to be at PHMS for my second year and continue making beautiful music and happy memories with everyone! Mrs. Sara C. Stafford

    JAZZ BAND

    Hello Jazz Friends,

Happy New Year! The PHMS Jazz Band has two events coming up very quickly!

Please read the following message thoroughly and carefully. If you still have questions, please email me at staffords@mdusd.net

Both permission forms are due no later than Thursday, Jan. 10th - if you left your forms or were not present when I passed them out- I have them in the classroom for you. Both events are parent driven/carpool as they are local events. Both events are free and I strongly suggest parents/family/friends enjoy both performances since the musicians are doing such an awesome job!
