Pleasant Hill Middle Academic Resources:

Peer Tutoring: 

  • Offered Tuesdays and Thursdays in the school library from 2:30-3:30pm.  Students who may need support with understanding concepts or following through with homework completion are paired with Pleasant Hill Middle student tutors 
  • Students are recommended for peer tutoring by staff.  Once recommended, we reach out to student and family and provide peer tutoring permission slip
     

Math Workshop:

  • Open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30-3:30pm. 
  • Sponsored by Math teacher, Mr. Utler in room 702
  • Students can drop in at any time within the hour.  No permission slip required


Community Resources:

  • Community Youth Center (CYC): The Community Youth Center (CYC) is a state-of-the-art sports and academic center where youth ages 3 to 18 thrive in a dynamic and positive environment.
    • Tutoring and study space available Monday-Thursday 3:00 - 8:00 pm and Friday 3:00 - 6:00 pm

  • Monument Crisis Center: Monument Crisis Center is a community-based non-profit family resource center.

Mount Diablo Adult Education offers parenting support classes and classes for students exhibiting at-risk behaviors.  Classes are free for families living within Mount Diablo Unified boundaries.  See below for classes offered:

Social, Emotional and Crisis services in community

  • Crisis and Suicide Hotline: Dial 2-1-1 on your phone.  You can also text “HOPE” to 20121
  • 211 Contra CostaThe Contra Costa Crisis Center manages an extraordinary database of useful resources and information for County residents.  You can access social service and health information 24 hours a day, seven days a week, by calling the three digit, toll-free number “211” from any phone.  Nearly 700 agencies and organizations contribute to provide more than 1,600 services and programs to County residents in need via the 211 database.  Spanish.
